What Does The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Releasing Genetically Modified Mosquitoes, CRISPR & The World Economic Forum's 4th Industrial Revolution Have In Common ? 🐇 🕳 🧵
Strap yourself in, this is going to be interesting. On 8th March 2022 an article appeared to fly under the radar of many. The article was entitled
“Millions of genetically modified mosquitoes may soon be buzzing in Florida and California. Here's why”
In summary
The Environment Protection Agency has approved the release of more than 2 billion genetically altered male mosquitoes in Florida and California following a pilot program last year in the Florida Keys.
Oxitec, the biotechnology company that developed the mosquitoes, says the project’s goal is to reduce the transmission of harmful diseases -- such as dengue, Zika and yellow fever.
A year earlier in 2021 the first genetically modified mosquitoes were released in the United States

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01186-6
What is interesting is the biotechnology firm Oxitec who developed the mosquitoes. Prior to 2022 BMGF had funded Oxitec to the tune of $8.7 million, a not insubstantial amount. However, that was trumped in March 2022 with a donation of $18.3 million bringing the total amount to $27 million.
It is also interesting to note that Oxitec is a partner member of the World Economic Forum
Back in 2010 an article appeared in Science Magazine where researchers were trying to turn mosquitoes into flying vaccinators. Sounds crazy doesn’t it. It failed but that still hasn’t stopped Gates from funding this area.

But where does CRISPR fit into the equation ? In a 2018 article on the WEF site an article was published entitled
“These scientists wiped out a mosquito population by hacking their DNA with CRISPR”
It all sounds very 4th Industrial Revolution. Maybe that’s because it is. In 2018 Klaus Schwab’s sidekick Yuval Noah Harari in a talk called “Will The Future Be Human?” spoke of human hacking.
Three years later Harare was at it again warning humans will be "hacked" if artificial intelligence is not globally regulated

But let’s go back to CRISPR. What is CRISPR ? According to the New Scientist CRISPR is a technology that can be used to edit genes and, as such, will likely change the world. The essence of CRISPR is simple: it's a way of finding a specific bit of DNA inside a cell. After that, the next step in CRISPR gene editing is usually to alter that piece of DNA.

Would you be surprised to hear that BMGF has also funded CRISPR Therapeutics $3 million ?
In January 2022 “Dr” Bill Gates put a video out called
How CRISPR could save lives and end diseases

By an unlikely coincidence, the WEF also has a CRISPR partner called Mammoth Biosciences
CRISPR has also been dropped into TV shows as well. In 2016 in an episode of The Blacklist (Season 4 Episode 7) CRISPR was central to the storyline.
It’s no secret that Gates has had an interest in malaria and mosquitoes for years and has pumped a vast amount of money into malaria funding. One of the main institutes he has invested heavily in is the Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania which has received $22m.
Other pharma companies that have funded Ifakara are GSK Vaccines Institute for Global Health, Novartis and The Wellcome Trust. Other notable funding partners are CDC, John Hopkins (funded by Rockefeller foundation) and last but not least the WHO

The Director of Science at Ifakara is Fredros Okumu. Okumu is a WEF Young Global Leader.

He is also a member of the Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) – formerly called Malaria Policy Advisory Committee – provides independent, strategic advice to WHO on all technical areas relating to malaria control and elimination. MPAG brings together some of the world’s foremost experts on malaria, and convenes twice a year in Geneva.

The WHO is also a WEF partner and has been funded hundreds of millions by BMGF.
This is now where it begins to get even more interesting. In a TED talk that Okumu did in 2017 he said the “WHO has set a goal of 2030 to eliminate malaria from 35 countries. The African Union has set a goal of 2030 to eliminate Malaria from the continent”
Agenda 2030 in play again.
The TED talk presenter asked a fascinating question at the very end of his brief, informative talk where he discussed traditional ways of combating malaria using bednets etc. She totally ignored the content of his talk and asked
“What do you think of scientists using CRISPR to kill off mosquitoes”
Okumu said “We’re talking about a disease that still kills 429,000 people mostly African children, there are countries that have reduced 60% reduction in malaria burden, but we still have to do more to get to zero. There is already proof of principle that gene- editing techniques such as CRISPR can be used effectively to transform mosquitoes so that either they do not transmit malaria, we call this population alteration, or that they no longer exist, population suppression. There is even proof that if you were to release just a small number of genetically modified mosquitoes that you can actually achieve elimination very quickly"
Interesting - Gene Editing, Population Alteration, Suppression & Elimination
Just go to 8 min 30 secs and listen to the last 4 minutes, its a real eye-opener.

So what conclusions can we draw. There is no doubt that Gates is trying to fund every side of the malaria coin and the WEF are heavily invested in it as well. The links and coincidences are just too many from BMGF funding to WEF Young Global Leaders
From what we have seen so far in many of the Gates involved projects there always seems to be an ulterior motive. Messing with nature can be a very dangerous thing.

Excellent read. The CRISPR technology is also not clear cut. That is, when alterations are made while working on the genes, these have unintended alterations elsewhere in the genes.
This is far from a perfected technology.
