Back in early 2020 I booked and paid for a flight for my family to visit Spain in June of that year. However, once Covid broke out and lockdowns were implemented my wife was reluctant to travel. It was still early days in the “pandemic” and she didn’t really know what to make of the situation.
I on the other hand had been researching the “pandemic” non-stop. Something wasn’t quite right. People weren’t dying at the rate we were told they would. It was only when I listened to a podcast in May 2020 from Ivor Cummins @fatemperor that I got confirmation that we were being told “porky pies” or should I say the authorities were being economical with the truth.
I also had this feeling that travel was going to be impacted so I decided I would set off to Spain by myself for the two weeks. The better half wasn’t too happy 😉
I didn’t want to waste the price of the tickets and it would also give me an opportunity to visit some relatives. Who knows when I would have seen them again if I had obeyed the advisory “stay at home” rules.
At that stage in June 2020 masks were only being worn on public transport in Ireland.
In Spain it was a different story entirely, they were being worn practically everywhere. Spain was obviously top of the WEF list for nation wide mask wearing.
Upon my arrival in Malaga airport, medics/nurses were in PPE gear randomly testing and swabbing people. I avoided that but did have to give my address of where I was staying.
I was then greeted by my friend and family at the airport. They were all fully masked up and insisted I used the old portable, hand washing liquid that they carried around in their bag with them before I got into the car. They disinfected and wiped everything down. It was paranoia on a different level entirely.
On the trip in the car they told me that when the “pandemic” initially broke out and they went shopping, they would change their clothes upon entering the house. My jaw hit the floor, this was only the beginning of the peak insanity and mass psychosis that would ensue globally for the next two years and even up until today.
I was a week into the holiday in Spain when the province of Andalucia brought in the diktat that everyone had to wear masks outside. So there was nowhere left where you couldn’t wear a mask apart from your home. This was total control taking place.
One day I went to the beach. The Spanish authorities had people in yellow vests patrolling up and down. Their job was to ensure that people were wearing masks. If you were sunbathing and lying down you didn’t have to wear one but once you stood up and went for a walk you were expected to be masked up.
I even saw one of the yellow vest brigade chasing after 2 adults down the beach and berating them for not wearing one. And yes I did see the obligatory person wearing a mask while swimming, hard as it is to believe they really do exist….
Best of all was when I went for a walk at 7.30 in the morning from Nueva Andalucia to Marbella. This is a beautiful 7km walk by the sea which is normally thronged by cyclists and walkers.
Due to the early hour there was hardly anybody about on the coastal walkway. That was until I bumped into a yellow vest official who was parading up and down like a strutting peacock.
He stopped me and asked where my mask was. I muttered something in Spanish pleading ignorance about not being able to understand him. In actual fact my Spanish is decent and even if I didn’t have a word it was pretty obvious what he was saying.
He became more irate by the second. Eventually I just ignored him and walked on as he gesticulated with his hands. This was akin to peak insanity. Out in the fresh air with not a soul around and he wanted me to wear a mask. As far as I was concerned he could take a long walk off a short plank.
I must admit to not knowing what to expect on the 2022 trip. This time I had my family in tow. Very few people were wearing masks in Dublin Airport. We were lucky as our flight was an evening one so any potential delays that may have been backed up from earlier in the day had cleared. We were through security pretty promptly.
Just 24 hours prior to the flight I received an email from Ryanair saying that we had to wear masks on the flight from Dublin to Malaga. You don’t have to wear one from Malaga to Dublin though. Because that’s science for you 🙄
I had bought a large bottle of water and a big tin of Pringles to keep me going. After all, it’s hard to wear a mask when you are nibbling on a tin of Pringles and drinking gallons of water for a 2.5 hour flight 😉
Queuing up on the steps to the plane I still saw very few masked faces. At this stage I was expecting people to put on the face nappies for the flight.
Once on the plane an announcement was made that we all had to wear masks as per the email I had received 24 hours earlier. Then the strangest thing happened.
80% of the people on the plane just ignored it. I was expecting everyone to comply. After all, the Irish have been best in class for 2.5 years in doing as they are told in the biggest psy-op ever perpetrated on mankind.
One lady in front of me who was donning a mask turned around to the lady beside her and said do we have to wear them. To which she replied, well nobody else is, so I’m not going to bother.
I have been reading non-stop for the last 2 years that all it takes is non-compliance. This was the first time I had witnessed it on such a large scale. The air hostesses on the flight couldn’t care and even if they did what could they do? Absolutely nothing.
People wandered up and down to the toilet maskless on the flight with nobody giving a second glance. Nobody cared, they were totally over it. It will be interesting come winter if they try to bring masks in again. What will the reaction be next time ? Will everyone just fall into line again ?
Upon arrival, like in 2020, there were medics in PPE floating about. They didn’t seem to be doing much. Nobody asked for anything, no passenger locator form, no Covid certs, nothing.
We got a taxi to where we were staying. No masks in the taxi although apparently in Spain if you are travelling on public transport you are still meant to wear one. I did see other taxi drivers wearing them but hardly any of the passengers.
On buses though it seems to be 100% compliance, everyone is still wearing them. Out and about in shops there is no mask requirement. Yes you still see some people wearing them but very few in comparison.
Undoubtedly the biggest positive of the trip was stepping on the plane from Dublin to Malaga and the refusal of the Irish public to pay any attention to the nonsensical mask rules.
The psychopathic authorities will undoubtedly try to implement them again come winter. I’m hoping that this time people will have grown a pair and push back. From what I witnessed on the flight out of Ireland maybe there are grounds for optimism…
Brilliant storyand thanks for writing it down. Amazing what people will do when told by their own governments. Critical thinking out the door. People have had enough and this winter will be interesting. Thanks again and please keep up the great work! Regards, David
Thanks so much for your story. Great to read something positive in the morning.
Delighted to hear so many Irish people non compliant with nonsense. I have hope that this will continue for Autumn when they again try try to force this madness on us.
Love reading your stories, thank you for sharing 😊
