The Schwabbies would seem to be prevailing in the implementation of their ruthless scheme, as most are being thoroughly distracted from it with the simple task of survival, in a world in which all commodities are drying up and becoming difficult to procure, things such as food, and one's energy "requirements".
Not to brag, but merely attempting to show a different way, perhaps, I made the decision years back to ditch the electricity, along with the TV, the refrigerator, the running water--the most of "civilized" ways, and aside from still (for the moment) earning and spending a bit of the almighty $$, I have started putting my energy towards relearning the near-lost art of foraging and cultivation , self medicating with natural plants and diet, Chakric Awakening, and taking care of this spirit-embued clay temple.
I believe that the rewards from this effort have been well worth all of the insults received on account of my having "attempted" to ditch the insanity that arises when one loses their place amongst our natural environment.
Despite the fact that people accuse me of some sort of silly selfishness, in my assuredly irrational defiance of the 21st century's tech-no-logic benefits, I have not turned away from my Earth family's plight, but try and Pay Attention, and share the (horrible) reality that I see unfolding around us all--much to no avail, sadly.
Perhaps the Schwabbies will see fit for themselves to go and live off planet, as transhumanist robots on Mars, which would almost be a relief, except for the knowledge that they'd be ruining yet another worthy celestial body...
